Raila Blasted for Shielding Governors in Showdown with MPs

Opposition leader Raila Odinga is facing mounting criticism after throwing his weight behind governors in their ongoing tussle with Members of Parliament. The conflict stems from allegations by MPs that governors are mismanaging funds allocated for county development, sparking heated exchanges between the two arms of government.

Odinga, during a public rally, accused MPs of overstepping their oversight mandate and unfairly targeting county bosses. “Governors are not punching bags for MPs to score cheap political points,” he stated, emphasizing the need for cooperation instead of conflict.
