Kenyans took to social media to praise a motorist who boldly refused to give way to an unnamed politician’s vehicle.
What did the Nairobi Motorist do?
In a video shared by an X user named “The Kenyan Vigilante,” a man is seen driving his car while a politician’s vehicle, with its sirens blaring, attempts to overtake him.
Despite the increasing sirens, the man firmly refuses to give way to the politician’s car, stating that he will not move.
“Who do they think they are? I am not moving. You’re using the road just like all of us,” the man said. After several unsuccessful attempts to get the driver to yield, the politician’s vehicle was forced to turn off the siren. “We are all taxpayers here,” the Nairobi motorist said.
How did Kenyans react?
After watching the video, netizens quickly took to the comment section to share their opinions, with many praising the driver for his courage.
Gunner fun: “We need more like him.”
Anubis: “Supported.”
Felix Peter: “It should become the norm; they switch on the sirens, and no one moves.”
Jeremy Jeremiah: “Rushing to where to go and represent who?”
Miss Milly Rono: “Ambulances, Police chases, and fire trucks are the most important vehicles to give way to.”
Shirleyanne: “That’s the way to go, I support you fully.”
Keif: “We’ve refused this kind of pride, let them not be deceived by the calmness we are boiling within.”
Earlier, a man reminded President William Samoei Ruto of a vow he made years ago that is yet to be fulfilled.
The Kenyan man did not mince his words or show fear as he addressed the head of state, reminding him of his long-overdue promise.
The man reminded the president that it had been almost five years since he promised to give a bus to Ndakaini Secondary School students.
Social media users headed to the comment section as they reacted to the video after the bold man hilariously summoned the president.
