The Lagos State Police Command has increased security measures ahead of the nationwide protest against economic hardship planned for August 1.
Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) were observed conducting drills and patrolling key areas across the state on Wednesday.
Officers, equipped with full combat gear, marched through locations including Ikeja, Oshodi, Ojota, and Lekki.
The deployment aims to maintain law and order during the anticipated protest. The police command has reassured residents of their commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property.
